Ambush

While escorting an elderly man to an undisclosed location, The Driver is confronted by a van packed with armed men who warn that the old man has stolen a substantial cache of diamonds. The old man insists he swallowed the diamonds, warning that the men will likely cut him open to retrieve them. In a last-minute decision to aid him, The Driver enters a perilous pursuit, taking part in a car chase and a volley of gunfire with the van. He ultimately evades his pursuers and watches their destruction. The Driver then delivers the old man to a nearby town and asks the merchant whether the diamonds were indeed swallowed. The client simply chuckles and walks away, and The Driver departs.
