The Follow

The Driver accepts a jittery assignment from a nervous film manager to shadow the wife of a paranoid actor. While tailing her, he explains the proper method to follow someone. As he tracks her, he begins to fear what he might uncover about her apparently tragic life. He discovers the wife is fleeing the country and returning to her mother's, and that she bears a black eye likely inflicted by her husband. He returns the money for the job, refuses to reveal the wife's whereabouts, and drives away, telling the manager never to call him again.
