Hostage

The Driver is recruited by the FBI to help defuse a tense hostage crisis. A disgruntled employee has abducted a CEO and hidden her, demanding $5,088,042. The Driver delivers the ransom, inscribing the sum on his hand as directed by the hostage taker. When told that he holds a life in his grasp, he is ordered to burn the money. He complies, just as federal agents storm in and attempt to subdue the man, who shoots himself in the head before revealing where the woman is concealed. The Driver then races to locate the hostage before she drowns in the trunk of a sinking car. In a twist, the kidnapped woman is revealed to be the hostage taker's lover, who coldly taunts the dying man in the hospital.
