Blondie Brings Up Baby
On his first day at school, six-year-old Baby Dumpling, the son of Blondie and Dagwood Bumstead, vanishes from sight. Dagwood launches a frantic citywide search to locate the boy. Meanwhile, Baby Dumpling spends a safe, pleasant afternoon with the poor little rich girl Melinda Mason, who—with her new playmate's help—rises from her sickbed to walk across the room for the first time in months.

This was a very enjoyable entry of the series for me, as Blondie, hoodwinked by a salesman of questionable integrity that her son Baby Dumpling has a genius I.Q., instantly tries to enlist him in Grade 3 of the local school. It sports a very touching ending in which the boy befriends a rich, troubled girl and tries to help her walk again.
