Blondie for Victory

Blondie for Victory, the twelfth entry in Columbia Pictures' Blondie series based on Chic Young's popular comic strip, centers on Blondie organizing the Housewives of America to perform home-front wartime duties, including guarding the local dam. Anxious to contribute to the war effort, Blondie joins the home defense league. Dagwood soon discovers that Blondie's commitment to war work is pulling her away from her domestic responsibilities; his chauvinistic boss, Mr. Dithers, and a newlywed husband, whose wife is never home thanks to the defense league, voice their discontent.
