Strategic Warning Delivered at PMA
General Aamer Raza, Commander of the National Strategic Command (CNSC), issued a stern warning to Pakistan's adversaries on Saturday, stating that any miscalculation would be met with a response "far beyond the imagination or the calculation of the initiator." The statement was delivered during his address at the passing-out parade of cadets from the 154th Long Course at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul.
General Raza emphasized that there is "no space for conflict or war in a nuclearised environment," according to Kashmir Media Service. He reiterated that the armed forces stand ready to defend every inch of the country at all costs, describing the safeguarding of Pakistan's unity, sovereign integrity, and territorial inviolability as an "absolute imperative." Geo News reported that General Raza vowed Pakistan would not tolerate any "cross-border aggression." The commander accused adversaries of employing "calculated disinformation and narrative warfare" in the "post-truth era" to drive a wedge between the Pakistani people and their armed forces.
Regional Tensions and Geopolitical Context
The CNSC commander's remarks followed provocative statements by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. On Thursday, Singh warned Pakistan that any "fresh terrorist activity from across the border would invite a strike even bigger than the last time," according to the Indian news agency ANI.
General Raza addressed these tensions by asserting that adversaries had sought to fracture Pakistan's social cohesion through proxy terrorism and sub-conventional warfare following the failure of Operation Sindoor. He stated that recent shifts in global geopolitics, particularly amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East, underscored Pakistan's pivotal strategic importance on the international stage.
During his address, General Raza cited the Islamabad Accord as evidence of Pakistan's role in restoring regional stability. He described the Makkah Accord as a sequel to this vision of durable peace. Expressing solidarity with Palestinians, the CNSC commander condemned persistent violence targeting non-combatants and the destruction of civilian infrastructure as profound violations of international law.
