Tora-san, the Go-Between
In Nagasaki, Tora-san and an acquaintance come to the aid of an elderly woman who has fallen and injured herself. She invites them to her home, where the three spend the night eating and drinking together. Soon after, the woman’s health worsens and she passes away. At her funeral, Tora-san falls for her daughter, but ultimately finds himself serving as a matchmaker between her and a young law student.
